Can’t stop, won’t stop
"Home is a place we all must find, child. It’s not just a place where you eat or sleep. Home is knowing. Knowing your mind, knowing your heart, knowing your courage. If we know ourselves, we’re always home, anywhere."
The Wiz (1978)
Michael releases a rap song called “Love Never Felt So Hood”
The fact that the only reason MJ did the Dangerous tour was to raise money for kids makes me feel special :3
Michael Jackson’s appearance as a bachelor on The Dating Game, 1972.
(My opinion: He looked horrified. Fake smiles, nerves… ahh. This is like a small glimpse into how he was taught to be show business. As professional as he was, he was still a boy and in my opinion it looks like he couldn’t wait for this to be over. He had the same expression during his little skit on the Sonny & Cher show, but his eyes were glistening then.)
i will never not reblog this gif!
Since the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is currently going on and it’s for a good cause, I can’t help but think of Michael during this time. No doubt if he was still alive, he would’ve done it. So I thought I’d post this gifset of him getting pushed off the pool by Macaulay Culkin from the ‘Michael Jackson’s Private Home Movies’ special in 2003 in honor of the recent events. It may not be ice water, but it’s the closest thing we can get.
Javon Beard: He’d planned a special gift for Prince: a seven-week-old chocolate Labrador puppy. But the people that Feldman arranged to get the dog from had arrived too early on Christmas Eve. Mr. Jackson didn’t want Prince to see the dog, and there was nobody else to step up, so I said, “I’ll take him for the night.”
I took the dog home, kept him at my house. Cute dog. Did not shut up. Whined and whimpered all damn night. I’d barely slept a couple hours when my phone started ringing off the hook. It was only six a.m., but somehow Prince had gotten wind of the surprise and wanted the puppy as soon as possible. So, I dragged my ass out of bed, put the puppy in the car, and drove it over. Little guy was whimpering and whining the whole way.
But the second I brought him inside Mr. Jackson’s house? He shut right up. He was suddenly as sweet and lovable as he could be, like he knew he was finally home. Prince went crazy. He loved that dog. Named it Kenya.
